Ludlow is a gastro town with lots of good restaurants and pubs etc. We usually go to The Olive Branch Restaurant and Coffee House, 2/4 Old Street. Open every day, 9.30 to 4.30.

Jules cafe in main street - great cafe/restaurant. Note the "Cyclists Welcome" board by the door - Jules is an old-time cyclist. Map ref: SO 401 516. The Salutation Inn and the The Green Bean cafe are also good.
Brampton Bryan, Herefordshire
Aardvark Books Cafe - lovely soups and delicious cakes. Open 7 days. Tea, cake, old maps, books - what's not to like? Also while you are at Brampton Bryan village note the yew hedge around the churchyard. Map ref: S0 370 722.
The New Strand cafe at the New Inn pub - cafe, pub, 2nd-hand book shop and Post Office all in one building. Map ref: SO 310 497. Closed Tuesdays (the Tram Inn opposite is open and is also good).
Much Marcle, Herefordshire
The Scrumpy House restaurant at Weston's Cider mill - good place to eat. They also have a cafe in the mill. Map ref: SO 650 331.
The Malvern Hills Kiosk on the A449/B4232 junction by Herefordshire Beacon - excellent local ice creams from this roadside kiosk. Try the damson and sloe gin! Map ref: SO 763 404.
